Project Coordination Unit · PCU
Afrim Tresi is Head of the Project Coordination and Implementation Unit at the Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI), South East European University (SEEU). His responsibilities include project planning and implementation, monitoring, budgeting, resource allocation, reporting, and communication with project partners and university stakeholders.
He also serves as SEEU Project Lead for the ChallengeEU European University Alliance. In this role, he coordinates and supervises SEEU’s participation in the alliance, supports university staff involved across its work packages, and helps connect project activities with SEEU’s institutional priorities.
His professional experience at SEEU encompasses project coordination, institutional administration and student services. He has contributed to international initiatives in higher education, institutional development, capacity building and regional cooperation.
Alongside his professional responsibilities, Afrim is a PhD candidate in Information Systems at SEEU’s Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies. His research interests include digital transformation, artificial intelligence in education, digital learning, instructional design, and the use of technology to improve teaching, assessment and learner engagement.
He has also contributed to publications and studies addressing digital and AI maturity, lifelong learning, labour-market transition and developments in higher education.
