Connecting Experience and Engagement: ChallengeEU Student Ambassador Training at SEEU
On 19 October 2026, the Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI) at South East European University (SEEU) organised a targeted training session on internal communication and dissemination for SEEU ChallengeEU Student Ambassadors.
Led by Edlira Palloshi Disha, ChallengeEU Communication Officer at South East European University (SEEU) and a researcher at the Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI), the session aimed to provide student ambassadors with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities while encouraging proactive outreach to promote ChallengeEU activities and academic opportunities among the wider student community.
The first part of the meeting focused on operational duties and introduced the ChallengeEU Student Ambassador Quick Guide, which provides concrete guidance on institutional engagement within the Alliance. Participants discussed strategic initiatives, including plans for an upcoming promotional video featuring SEEU students, methods to boost the visibility of European initiatives on campus, and feedback on existing informational materials.
A key segment of the program was an experience-sharing dialogue led by Gajur Memeti, a former ChallengeEU Student Ambassador and current intern at the Max van der Stoel Institute. Drawing from his work within the Alliance, Memeti offered practical perspectives on student networking, clear messaging, and active participation in multilateral university projects.
The session concluded with an open-floor discussion where ambassadors exchanged perspectives on upcoming deliverables, addressed communication challenges, and coordinated forthcoming student-led activities.
This training was conducted as part of SEEU’s ongoing commitments under ChallengeEU Work Package 6 (WP6), dedicated to strengthening internal communication, fostering active student engagement, and advancing regional participation in the European University Alliance.
