Overview

CEEDev - Development Studies in Central/Eastern Europe is a network for teaching and learning mobilities, as well as research cooperation in the interdisciplinary field of “development studies”. Partner universities work together to explore how the Central and (South-)Eastern European region (CEE) is embedded in global social, economic, cultural, and political processes, from the perspective of development. The network is multi- and interdisciplinary, and it regards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as the guiding principles of its activity. The joint activities of the network observe the developmental pathways, inequalities, and ambitions of the countries of the region, as well as the ecological and social sustainability of their development-related policies, with a focus on the following issues:

• CEE in a global developmental context,

• CEE's position within Europe from a developmental perspective,

• CEE's relations with developing countries of the Global South,

• CEE as a laboratory of sustainable development policies.
