REUFORM – Reforming for European Future is a project focused on strengthening the capacities of civil society, media, youth, academia, and other relevant stakeholders in North Macedonia to better understand, monitor, and communicate reforms linked to the EU integration process.

REUFORM supports informed public dialogue and evidence-based monitoring of reforms in areas that are central to North Macedonia’s EU accession path. The project addresses key thematic fields including governance, democracy and rule of law; disinformation and information integrity; economy, employment and social policy; green transition and sustainable development; digital transformation and innovation; and foreign policy, security and strategic resilience. The proposal foresees a modular capacity-building programme, including six thematic modules, policy dialogue activities, outreach actions, podcasts, and communication products aimed at improving public understanding of EU-related reforms.

The project is implemented by Strategers Institute in partnership with South East European University (SEEU) through the Max van der Stoel Institute. The partnership combines policy expertise, academic knowledge, research capacity, and practical experience in EU integration, public policy, monitoring, and communication. The proposed cooperation structure identifies Strategers Institute as lead applicant and SEEU as partner, with responsibilities divided between the two institutions.

Through training, dialogue, research, and public communication, REUFORM aims to contribute to more informed, inclusive, and participatory reform processes. The project will support stakeholders in developing the knowledge and tools needed to monitor reforms, communicate evidence-based recommendations, and promote democratic accountability in the EU integration process.
