Irena Gjerasimovska is a Researcher and Project Finance Officer in the Project Coordination and Implementation Unit at the Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI), South East European University (SEEU). Her responsibilities include financial management and reporting for the Institute, project budgeting and financial administration, compliance with SEEU and EU financial rules, and accounting support in coordination with the university's Finance Office.

She provides financial and administrative support across the Institute's projects, including the ChallengeEU European University Alliance. In this role, she prepares budgets and co-funding calculations for new project proposals, monitors project spending, prepares financial reports and audit documentation, and supports project managers during implementation and reporting.

Irena is also a PhD candidate in Economics at SEEU's Faculty of Business and Economics. Her research interests include public finance, health economics, economic psychology and behavioural approaches to economic decision-making.

Prior to joining MVDSI, she worked in administrative and accounting roles in the private sector. She speaks Macedonian, English and Albanian.
