Research

My research focuses on air pollution, air quality management, and environmental sustainability, with a particular focus on understanding the sources and drivers of air pollution in urban environments. I am interested in applying data-driven and source apportionment methods to better understand pollution patterns and support evidence-based approaches to air quality management and sustainable development. My research broadly covers two interconnected areas:

  1. Air Pollution and Source Apportionment
My primary research interest is identifying and quantifying the different sources contributing to air pollution, particularly particulate matter, in urban environments. I use statistical and data-driven approaches, to distinguish between pollution sources and better understand their contribution to local air quality.

  2. Air Quality Management and Sustainable Development in the Western Balkans
I am interested in the challenges of air quality management across the Western Balkans, including the interaction between environmental conditions, human activities, policy, and local sources of pollution. This includes distinguishing between area , point and stationary sources, and understanding how their relative contributions shape management and policy responses.
