QA-SURE

Short Info: The main aim of the QA-SURE project is to enhance the teaching, assessment mechanisms for HEI staff and students, quality assurance, management, governance, inclusion, innovation, knowledge base, digital and entrepreneurial capacities, as well as the internationalization of HEIs in the third countries; increase the capacities of HEIs, bodies in charge of higher education and competent authorities of higher education institutions to modernize their higher education systems, particularly in terms of quality, governance and financing, by supporting the definition, implementation and monitoring of reform processes; improve the training of teachers and continuous professional development in order to impact the longer-term quality of the education system; stimulate cooperation of institutions, capacity building and exchange of good practice; foster cooperation across different regions of the world through joint initiatives. This will involve:

• Restructuring QA frameworks based on policies, regulations, QA cycles, and institutional indicators, with increased involvement of students and external stakeholders.
• Training over 150 QA, administrative, academic staff, and 50+ students to enhance the quality of administrative and academic products in partner HEIs, emphasizing service and study product design.
• Leveraging internationalization and digitalization to promote a quality culture, enhance institutional transparency, and accountability.

The project aims to address challenges faced by Western Balkans HEIs by involving a diverse range of participants in QA systems, particularly students and external stakeholders. This approach acknowledges students as valuable sources of feedback throughout QA cycles and emphasizes input from external entities for updating study programs to align with employment needs. These efforts not only enhance quality culture but also prepare HEIs for international accreditation, fostering continuous improvement within a European context.
