we are MVDSI!
The Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI) is an interdisciplinary scientific institute based in the South East European University, with a focus on social sciences and information and communication technologies.
It was established in March 2012 as a scientific-academic unit of the university and was named after the former OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Max van der Stoel, who played a significant role in the region’s conflict prevention and establishing the South East European University in North Macedonia.
MVDSI primarily conducts research and implements research projects. It is composed of three research groups: the Distributed Systems and Data Science Group (DSG), the Social Sciences Group (SSG), and the Environment and Health Group (EHG).
SEEU is a private-public, not-for-profit higher education institution that specializes in socio-economic and technological sciences. It consists of faculties, centers, and institutes as its integral parts. SEEU is the first university in North Macedonia to be awarded the “HR Excellence in Research (HRS4R)” badge by the EU Commission. The MVDSI is located within this university.
