Vlera Ismaili holds a Master of Science in Air Pollution Management and Control from the University of Birmingham, UK, where she was awarded a full scholarship by the Clean Air Fund. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with high honours.

Currently, she works as a Research Assistant at the Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI), contributing to research projects within the Distributed Systems & Data Science Group, with a focus on environmental sustainability and the use of data science to address regional challenges. She also serves as a Project Officer for an IPA III-funded project, supporting project coordination, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Her master’s dissertation, titled “Air Quality Analysis and Prediction Using Machine Learning: A Case Study of Tetovo,” highlights the application of computational techniques to air-pollution analysis and forecasting.
