My Research
Vlera Ismaili
My research interests lie at the intersection of data science, machine learning, environmental sustainability, and air quality. My work focuses on applying computational and data-driven methods to environmental challenges, particularly the analysis and prediction of air pollution.
A key area of my research involves the development and evaluation of machine learning and time-series forecasting models for air-quality prediction, integrating pollutant observations with meteorological data to better understand temporal patterns and improve predictive performance. My research also explores the broader application of digital and data-driven approaches to urban environmental resilience, climate action, and sustainable cities.
Through my work at the Max van der Stoel Institute, I contribute to interdisciplinary research connecting computer science, environmental science, and sustainability, with particular attention to environmental challenges in North Macedonia and the Western Balkans.
