The article entitled, “NATO Must Boost its Hybrid War Defenses” by Chris Dolan was recently published in Just Security, an online forum for the rigorous analysis of national security, foreign policy, and rights based at the Reiss Center on Law and Security at New York University School of Law.
Dr. Chris J. Dolan is a Professor of Political Science and Director of the Master’s of Science Intelligence and Security at Lebanon Valley College. He is currently a Fulbright U.S. Scholar (2021-2022) in security studies at the Max Van der Stoel Institute at South East European University in Tetovo, North Macedonia. His first Fulbright was at the University of Prishtina, Kosovo in 2019-2020.
The article argues that Russian disinformation, influence operations, and cyber attacks demand that NATO establish centers of innovation in partnership with academia and the private sector to boost technology and media literacy and prioritize AI, data and computing, autonomous machines, quantum technologies, and augmentation.
