PhD students from the Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences attended an insightful guest lecture this Saturday, 9th November, as part of Professor Veli Kreci’s Public Policy Analysis course. Organized in collaboration with the Max van der Stoel Institute, the guest lecture was held by Jennifer Sorrells, a Fulbright Student Researcher in North Macedonia for the 2024–2025 academic year. Sorrells shared her expertise on the complex American electoral process and its influence on democracy.

The discussion covered various aspects of the American democratic system, including the Electoral College, voter turnout, and the relationship between American politics and the global community. Students actively participated in comparing the electoral systems of the United States and North Macedonia, analyzing their respective impacts on policy-making processes. The guest lecture was enriched by the presence of Fortesa Asani, a member of the Max van der Stoel Institute, who attended and contributed valuable perspectives to the discussion.
