South East European University (SEEU) is pleased to announce that together with 8 other European universities received a positive evaluation from the European Commission for the project submission CHALLENGE.EU, under the Erasmus + European Universities Alliances call.

The CHALLENGE EU Alliance brings together 9 higher education institutions from across Europe with Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) being the leading institution, followed by South East European University (North Macedonia), ECAM LaSalle (France), European University of Lisbon (Portugal), Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (Latvia), Mid Sweden University (Sweden), University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (Switzerland), European University of Valencia (Spain), and University of Warmia and Mazury (Poland). This initiative will facilitate long-term, strategic cooperation among higher education institutions, promoting innovative research and education strategies to address societal challenges.

The CHALLENGE EU consortium is built upon a common understanding that open and inclusive innovation processes will make European Universities more resilient to change and better equipped to meet the Grand Challenges of the 21st century. This represents a significant step towards transforming higher education in Europe.

CHALLENGE EU alliance is one of the 14 new alliances under the 2024 Erasmus+ European Universities call which is foreseen to last 4 years.
