Our team members Albulena Halili, Research Associate and Edlira Palloshi – Disha, Researcher, from MeDisInfo Research Cluster were speakers at the Third International Scientific Conference of Center for Peace and Transcultural Communication, which was held at the University of Tetova with the topic: “The Future of the Western Balkans after Russian Aggression on Ukraine: What’s next?’’.
The conference had various professional insights from the speakers who shared their presentations divided in two sessions chaired by the Director of the Center, Donika Kamberi. The first one included distinguished speakers like: Tanya Domi, HE Florian Qehaja, Nenad Canak, and Klodiana Beshku. Meanwhile, the second one followed with: Fatmir Xheladini, Albulena Halili, Bardhyl Dauti, Edlira Palloshi – Disha and Ivana Stradner. Amid them, Albulena Halili spoke about “Geopolitical repercussions of the Russian aggression on Ukraine for the Western Balkans: Security Challenges and Integration Prospects”, and Edlira Palloshi – Disha expressed her perspective about “Election Campaign in North Macedonia and Russian Influence: Examining Digital Media Narratives”.
A special guest of the event was the Ambassador of Ukraine in North Macedonia, HE Mrs. Laryssa Dir who welcomed the initiative of the Center for Peace and Transcultural Communication and emphasized the importance of collective support for Ukraine.
The event marked the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, by awarding the “Mother Teresa” Prize for Peace and Humanism to Professor Daniel Serwer and the humanist Mrs. Sonja Biserko, who were also keynote speakers at the conference.
The Max van der Stoel Institute was honored to receive a commemorative plaque from the Center for Peace and Transcultural Communication in recognition of our valuable partnership and fruitful collaboration.
