Training Session on Reporting Disinformation Held for Young Journalists

An online training session titled “Reporting on Disinformation in Wartime” was successfully conducted by Faktoje.al, in partnership with the Faculty of Languages, Cultures, and Communication and the Media Literacy and Disinformation Research Cluster (MeDisInfo) of the Max van der Stoel Institute, South East European University (SEEU).

The training focused on addressing the prevalence of false news in Albanian and Western Balkan media, particularly concerning anti-NATO and anti-EU narratives, the ongoing war in Ukraine, and instances of harmful interference in politics.

Participants gained valuable insights into the challenges of reporting in conflict situations and the crucial role journalists play in countering mis- and disinformation. The event fostered engaging discussions and encouraged students and young journalists to critically analyze the information landscape in these tumultuous times.
