On March 30th, Lejla Ademi, a researcher at the Environment and Health Research Group at Max van der Stoel Institute (MVDSI), participated in the fourth session of the Skopje Climate Assembly (CA) at Hotel Sollun in Skopje. The session focused on addressing the health impacts of air pollution and was organized by the ZIP Institute Skopje.
Lejla Ademi, is among the members contributing valuable insights as an expert on the Assembly’s Advisory Board. Prior to sessions, the Advisory Board deliberates on topics and provides recommendations for the Assembly’s implementation. In this session, attendees discussed strategies to mitigate air pollution and safeguard public health.
The fourth session of the Skopje Climate Assembly, following three prior sessions held in February and March, marks a significant continuation of the assembly’s efforts to address environmental issues in the region. The assembly will cover 6 sessions in total, each focusing on different climate-related topics and featuring experts in the field.
The Climate Assembly of Skopje serves as a vital platform for citizen engagement and collective action to address issues related to air pollution and environmental policy. The activities of the Skopje Climate Assembly are supported by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU), City of Skopje, Council of Europe, and European Climate Foundation.
